All Politics Is Local
“All politics is local”
Thomas P. (Tip) O'Neill
Those of us who worry (constantly) about the direction our federal government is taking often feel helpless to do anything about it. I know I do. Our federal representatives and senators might as well be on Mars considering how little their actions reflect our concerns and our communications with them. Those of us who do write and call them don’t know whether to laugh or cry for all the good it seems to do. Every year the federal government gets bigger and bigger while we demand they reduce its size. The debt and deficits grow year in year out while members of both major political parties stand on their crumbling soap boxes and tell us how they're doing everything they can to cut spending.
“What then must we do?” - Leo Tolstoy
I believe it’s time to get involved in local and especially state government. Our state senators and representatives are closer to us. It takes far less time, resources and votes to swing a state election one way or another. States do still have the power to control the federal government. For instance, the states can amend the United States Constitution without any federal government involvement whatsoever. They could pass a balanced budget amendment the federal government would be bound to obey. The power for the states to amend the Constitution is in the Constitution! The states could convene a constitutional convention and restructure, reform or abolish the federal government if they chose to.
Article 5 of the United States Constitution in part:
“The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution...”
Regaining control of our states may be the only way we ever regain control of the federal government.

We now have a "spending cut crisis?"
Boehner to Obama: You created spending cut crisis, you fix it.
This needs to be filed in the "you can't make this _hit up" folder.
Let's see, we're monetizing our national debt because Zimbabwe,.. I mean China, Japan, other foreign nations and institutions are starting to wind down on the purchase of U. S. Treasury paper.
The federal government is printing/borrowing nearly half of what they spend. The annual budget deficit is 1.0 to 1.4 trillion depending on what moron you're listening to on Fox News or CNN. And the national debt is approaching 17 trillion dollars.
And with all this going on, these imbeciles in Washington: Boehner, Obama, (99% of them) are scared the "Sequester" will mean draconian spending cuts of.....85 billion?
That's draconian, really?
Actually the 85 billion is an inflated number. Its already been proven by the CBO, the OBM, and I believe the WTF as well to be more like $44 billion. Read more here.
Projected spending for 2013 is right at 3.55 trillion. My degree in third grade math tells me that 44 billion is 1.24% of 3.55 trillion. And these guys/gals in Washington call that draconian?
And we voted these people into office to solve these problems?
Really?
Have we had enough yet?

How To Enslave The American People
Free people living in a democratic republic demand the right to choose who will represent them in government. To enslave the American people without a fight would require control over a majority of their elected representatives. This part would be the easiest to accomplish, no more difficult than locating 400 or so people who would like to run for office and have a sufficient lack of character or those who can be easily compromised. Organizing them into political parties where they compete for the more prestigious political offices would keep the pipeline of new candidates perpetually full.
More difficult (due to their sheer numbers) would be the American people, the voters. They would have to believe that their choices on Election Day really mattered when in reality their vote had no more impact on the direction of government than a small child’s toy steering wheel in his car seat has on the direction his father’s car will go.
Here is the most critical part of the plan: The people would need to vote based on “how they feel” instead of how they think. If they started to think critically and logically in large numbers the whole system could be unraveled in a few days, in one election cycle. Thankfully, it is much easier to control how people feel than it is how they think.
They would need to “feel good” when their candidate won and be “frightened” at the prospect of another candidate winning. This would require choices or candidates that were perceived to be as different as feeling good and being frightened are. This will divide the voters which is absolutely necessary. Dividing a majority of the voters into two groups that support two parties is the idea. The two groups should always be close to equal in size so that each group’s candidate(s) would win roughly half the time. This creates a continuous cycle of good feelings and being frightened which helps to keep voters from thinking.
As long as a majority of voters divided into two groups continued to vote based on how they feel; gradually, over time, you could deprive them of all their power, liberty, and property.
They would buy you the rope with which you could hang them.

Get With The Program
I suppose we weren't using that pesky old 4th Amendment anyways.
Stellar Wind was instituted by Bush/Cheney/Hayden/Tenet. And that kinda makes sense in a sad disgusting way, you'd expect as much from the neo-cons.
But shouldn't we expect something different from liberal Democrat Obama? Do you think Obama is doing anything about this Program? Watch the video, under Obama the warrant-less wiretaps and surveillance has increased dramatically. After having his posterior handed to him in the first debate Obama is now saying he wants to debate Romney on civil rights. The hypocrisy from the Obama administration is staggering and without parallel.
Ya think Romney will do anything about this if elected?
How much will it take before we the sheeple realize that the Republican and Democrat parties are criminal organizations and it is insane to vote for their candidates? Or are we still clinging to that fear of the other guy plan because we don't want to waste our vote? How's that working out so far?
Perhaps resistance is futile. Maybe its best to just get with The Program.

Just Like Witches At Black Masses
In case there was any doubt in anyone’s mind, Romney will
start a war with Iran, bank on it. Read the transcript of his foreign policy
speech at Virginia Military Institute today, the link is below.
We can't afford any more wars any more than we can afford
Obamacare or Medicare Part D. We can’t afford Democrats and Republicans!
Read the transcript. Romney is officially announcing he is a
puppet for the military industrial complex. He is vowing to get us involved in
Syria, grow our involvement in Libya and keep us in Afghanistan and Iraq. Is that War Pigs I hear playing in the background?
This election isn't about right or wrong for the Republicans
and Democrats. This election is about who’s in charge of dishing out the 3
trillion dollars the federal government spends every year. It’s about whom gets
to curry favor from the Central Banks, Wall Street, the military industrial
complex etc by funneling the 3 trillion to them. Obama, Romney, Democrats,
Republicans…they’re bag men for these institutions.
Romney WILL NOT balance the budget. He will run up the
national debt and raise the debt ceiling the same as Obama has. He will further
trash our economy and quite possibly collapse the dollar. But then…maybe that’s
what he’s supposed to do. Maybe in the chaos that follows we’ll give up what
remains of our liberty and property willingly like sheep.
Yes we can.

Bernanke Prays - No Audit
In a speech on Monday in Indiana Ben Bernanke cautioned Congress against adopting a law that would allow it to review the Fed’s interest-rate policy discussions. The Federal Reserve is getting nervous...its a start.
Have you contacted your Senators demanding that they sponsor/vote for the Audit The Fed Bill (S-202) yet?
The constitutional authority to control the value of our currency is vested in Congress not the Federal Reserve which is a private corporation. Just because Congress abdicated this power to the Federal Reserve in 1913 does not excuse Congress from its responsibility for the value of our currency or lack thereof.
Congress can abolish the Federal Reserve any time it sees fit by repealing the Federal Reserve Act. I hope I live to see this happen, God bless America.
The power to manipulate interest rates is not granted to anyone in the Constitution and is in my view an unholy power no man or group of men should ever possess. The free market, if we had one, should dictate what interest rates are not a group of corrupt bankers that do so to make themselves rich and powerful.
Every year hundreds of people get run over by cars, trucks, buses and trains and every year its not Ben Bernanke. I am hopeful 2013 will be a better year.

Drug Addicts, Alcoholics And Voters
The majority of the American voters behave exactly like drug
addicts or alcoholics.
Republicans and Democrats (we) have all but destroyed the
America my generation grew up in.
The manufacturing base is gone, jobs are gone, benefits are
gone, the middle class standard of living has been in steady decline for
decades. More people are on food stamps and welfare today than ever before and
the rate is spiraling out of control.
Presidents who have sworn an oath to enforce our laws openly
declare in signing statements and political rhetoric that they will not enforce
laws they don’t like…and Congress, the Supreme Court and the “news” media?
Asleep at the wheel. Presidents start undeclared wars and no one bats an eye
anymore. Presidents have American citizens killed without trail or due process
and no one says a word. The President can now tap all of our communications and
have our homes searched without a warrant. The President can now have you and I
detained indefinitely (IE forever) without trial. The king…I mean the President
can shut down television, radio and the Internet any time he declares a
national emergency. Congress, the Supreme Court and the “news” media never do a
thing to stop it. Worse than that….we the people don’t either.
Free markets are gone. The dollar has lost more than 95% of
its value since Congress let the Federal Reserve “protect” its value. The 16
trillion dollar national debt will never be paid off in our lifetime and we
keep running it up 1.5 trillion a year. Bankers and insurance companies gamble
with our savings, retirement accounts even the value of our homes. When their
gambles pay off they keep the profits. When their bets fail the American people
cover their losses. We are told by Republicans and Democrats that we have to
bail them out, they’re too big to fail. Former employees and lobbyists of these
banks fill the Executive administration and the halls of Congress. The Federal
Reserve secretly gives untold trillions of our dollars to foreign banks. And
the President, Congress, the Supreme Court and the “news” media, like us, don’t
lift a finger to stop it. We just keep voting for the Republicans and Democrats
who make all this happen year after year.
All of this and dozens of more things I (You) could list are
the direct result of the pervasive corruption in both the Democrat and
Republican parties.
And yet we continue to vote them into power. Like an
alcoholic reaching for another drink or a junkie picking up his needle and
spoon we embrace what destroys us.
And when I vote independent, somehow I’m supposed to
understand that I’m the one wasting my vote?
I’ll drink to that.
